Hmm... Been awhile since I posted. I've hit a stumbling block in my production lately, and it's thrown me into a ravine.  I have some WIP but no motivation to complete them. I have a lot of ideas, but not the energy to seriously make them. Some of it stems from a need for materials. I need more markers and ink, and it's expensive. So I put off those pieces. I know, none of this is inspiring. But a slump is a slump. I hope to work my way out of it soon. :D

About a week and a half ago my colored pencils came in the mail. YAY!!! I couldn't wait to try them out and that is how my piece Yellow Rose came into being. I am currently working on another floral piece and continuing to learn a lot about the medium. I recently finished my fourth Copic piece in what I am calling the "Verses" series. I just put the third one on yesterday, so I may wait a few more days before uploading the newest one. This is the first time I've ever done a series. Another first is finally discovering my personal "style". WOW! That's taken a long time to find. Maybe because I withheld creating for personal joy for sooo long.

I keep getting a barrage of things I would like to put on paper from every source out there! I try to follow through on the ones that I feel I'm being led to draw. I haven't been this productive in years. It's like all of the sudden, I broke down a wall that I had built, and now I want to color as much as I can because I feel compelled to. Like breathing. I know as long as I keep practicing, my art will improve as well. So I want to hurry and get through the learning pieces, so that I can produce some seriously awesome stuff. Alas, it still is going to take time and things don't work that way, as every professional artist will tell you. One
